Around East Cobb
In October, 2007, Herb and Tracy Sims and Cherryl Greenman launched Around Town ─ East Cobb (ATEC), a franchisee of Around Town Community Magazines, Inc. (ATCM). As with all the Around Town magazines, the goal was to provide a timely, community-driven monthly publication that would bring the community of East Cobb together. However, the Sims, who also own three other ATCM titles, realized they were unable to dedicate the time and resources necessary to make ATEC the magazine they envisioned and knew it could be. The Sims approached ATCM about assuming the publication of ATEC so they could re-focus their energies on their other magazines. And that’s where we are today! So let me introduce myself as the new editor of ATEC! As the editor of Around Town ─ The TowneLaker for the past four years, I am looking forward to getting to know you and you getting to know me! My goal is to bring positive, relevant, interesting and timely information to the East Cobb community and becoming your "go to" publication for everything East Cobb. We look forward to becoming a familiar "face" for you! East Cobb, this is your magazine, and I look forward to serving you!
