Life is moving so fast. No one sees this movement like moms. But maybe on Mother’s Day things can slow down long enough for her to hear how much she means to you. It has been a wonderful experience to read the entries for the 2008 Mother of the Year contest. I understand that around your home there is always one "Mother of the Year" but this contest gives us the opportunity to focus on all the moms of our community and to select an individual that can represent all. See page 28 for this year’s Mother of the Year, June Stroup. Our Mother of the Year was nominated by her daughter, Carolyn Hardt. You can see all the smiles from the first annual Readers’ Choice Awards ceremony held at Copeland’s on Barrett Parkway. Business owners and managers were recognized for being selected by you, the readers of Around Town East Cobb, as the best of the best in their business category.
